Automatic Thread Cutter.
A Quick Key directly above the needle engages the Automatic Thread Cutter which accurately snips your thread. You can also program the machine to clip your thread at
the end of a custom stitch sequence.
Knee Lift.
The knee lift raises the presser foot while leaving the needle in place so you can keep your hands on your work. It's a favorite feature of quilters. It's also very
useful for garment and home decor projects.
If you accidentally bump the lift while you’re sewing, the MC6500P has a built-in safety feature that stops the machine and gives you a warning. This ensures you
don’t break a needle or ruin your project.
9 inches x 5 inches of Bed Space.
9 inches x 5 inches (225mm x 120mm) is the largest arm and bed space of any household sewing machine. It comes standard with a generous extension table for even more
room. Easy Access Feed Dog Control.
For quilting or other free-motion sewing, you can quickly drop the feed dogs. The lever is easy to reach on the front of the machine.
Customize Stitches.
Stitches can be elongated, flipped and combined with other stitches. Save the custom stitches into the Memory Recall Bank. Adjust stitch width from 0 to 7mm. Adjust

Independent Bobbin Winder.
When you need to wind another bobbin, you don't have to stop and unthread the machine. The Memory Craft 6500P has an Independent Bobbin Winding Motor. You can wind
your bobbin while you keep sewing.
Quick Flip Stitch Chart.
All 135 stitches are easy to find on a clever flip chart that folds up from the back of the machine.
Pressure regulator with visible pressure gauge.
Sometimes bulky layers of fabric need more pressure from the foot. Sometimes sheer fabrics need less pressure. The MC6500P lets you control how firmly the foot is
pressing on your fabric. The Visible Pressure Gauge shows yhou the exact position of your ideal setting so you can get the same results every time.
Ergonomic and Intuitive Design.
Easy-access, raised keys and a bright, clear LCD screen make it easy to set all the machine’s operations. Press a key and the screen displays everything you need to

I bought the Janome 6500 after a different brand machine gave out after only 3 months usage. I'm making pillow case dresses to carry to Nicagaura next year and after over 300 dresses made since June 2011, I absolutely love using this machine! It is a very sturdy, easy to use machine. Easy to maintain. I have a hard time tearing myself away from the machine! I was told by a sewing machine repair shop, that the price I paid for this machine thru Sewing Machines Plus was about $700 less than his customers would pay for the same machine, plus, no shipping fee and no tax! It's a great deal!

I have owned my machine for about 5 years. Before I purchased, I went to the fair and tried out a number of other machines. I felt that this was the best machine for the price and have not been disappointed. A sewing machine repairman recently told me he thought Janome was the best brand on the market. I have learned how to clean it regularly from the classes taken when I purchased it and it has given me no problems. This machine is heavy though, so don't expect to use it for taking to classes. I recently purchased the AQS2009 for that purpose.

I purchased this machine to do free-motion quilting. The extra room in the throat space is a must. I found that I had greater control with free-motion than any of my other sewing machines. My stitches looked great. The many stitch functions available make it a great machine for garment sewing as well.

The Janome 6500 is the perfect machine for a quilter, the arm free extension table and the knee lifter are great additions to this easy to use machine. My ten year old nephew had no trouble learning to thread the machine and sew pillowcases on this model.

I own several nice sewing machines, but I love this machine for many reasons, particularly the automatic thread cutter. It's convenient and saves much thread over time. The wide throat is another nice feature.

I cannot thank Todd for helping me get the correct machine for my needs. This machine is fantastic. Smooth, quiet, and strong. I have just completed a king size quilt top and am going to quilt it with this machine. The throat is large enough to complete this task. I do not think I will ever buy another machine again.

I have been sewing on this model machine for about 2 years. LOVE IT! The thread cutter is my favorite new feature. I use it for quilting, tailoring and clothes sewing. When this one wears out (which I fully intend to do), I'm buying the same model again.
