I love my Janome MC4900QC! I bought it new about three years ago. It’s an excellent value for all the features and accessories included.
This machine has needle down, ability to change the position of the needle drop,
valuable needle threader, a knee lifter for quilting or when you don’t want to move your hands from your sewing project, various included presser feet along with the “walking foot”. Stitch width and length adjustments, a Memory key, Monogramming key, Twin needle key. You can use the Elongation key to elongate Satin stitches up to 5x original length.
Three different “Modes” to choose from with the Screen indicating everything from pattern number and image to setting for needle tension, presser foot recommendation, stitch width and length, needle drop position
and recommended foot pressure.
There are so many decorative stitches, that I have only begun to experiment.
The "needle drop" position is the feature I use the most.
While this machine also has the ability to monogram and I have enjoyed using this feature, the lettering cannot be enlarged.
I love this machine!

I like the fact that the machine has a lot of handy functions like the needle down and one-step buttonhole. I could not live without the needle threader either. The start/stop button is also a good feature. The machine also has a knee lift which I use a lot too. I all around am very happy with this machine.
