Experience the next evolution in serging history with the Evolve. Baby Lock brings you the first serger to use eight threads at one time. These incredible technological advances are coupled with the same ease of use featured in everything Baby Lock does.
Features:
Instant Jet-Air Threading
One touch of a lever "Jet-Airs" thread through the tubular upper, lower, and chain stitch loopers. Thread the Evolve in any order. By far the easiest threading system available today.
Automatic Thread Delivery System
Set the Evolve to the type of stitch you want and serge. The Evolve will deliver a balanced stitch on any fabric with any type of thread. It even goes from one fabric type to another without skipping.
Expressive Stitches
Welcome to the first serger to enable overlocking and chain stitching in the same operation. Expressive stitches include all combinations of stitches to give you 58 options in one machine.
Chain and Cover Stitches
The first serger ever to chain off the cover stitch - a real convenience! One dial adjusts all cover stitch needles for simplicity. You'll find the Evolve sews heavier fabrics better than many cover stitch machines.

My Mentor found this website online and knew I was in the market for a serger, so she showed it to me. When I saw that the store is located just a few hours drive, I decided to stop in.
The store is big, clean, well stocked, and easy to find.
The staff is helpful, friendly and knowledgeable.
The AMAZING thing is, not matter how many thousands of dollars I've spent over the years on sewing (and you all know thousands is a modest assessment LOL ) and how many dozens of different stores, this is the FIRST store to send a thank you card!
The BLE8 (it doesn't have the wave feature like the one advertised here) was a previously loved machine, and they sold it to me for a Fantastic price plus threw in a few extras.
I've owned the machine for 3 months now, it works like a charm, and I just adore the features!!
The air threading is worth it's weight in gold, and my absolute favorite feature is fact I can pull the knives out of the way and run a straight stitch just like a sewing machine.
The BLE8 will utilize up to 8 threads. the most I've used so far is 5. I've used up to 3 wolley nylon cones at one time with excellent results.
The BLE8/ BLE8W comes with a quick reference guide which is a fantastic full color heavy weight brochure that shows what each configuration (of threads) looks like with the finished product .
The only drawback I've found so far is that there is no detailed explanation of how to fine tune each dial. As an example, the quick reference will show a 3 thread overlock, and it will tell you the optimum setting for that stitch, which is great, but if I want a shorter or longer, a wider or narrower stitch, I have to play with the dials and stitch on a lot of scrap to get the exact stitch I want. I'm sure MOST people will never find it necessary to make those fine tuned adjustments, which is probably why it's not included in the instructions :D
