Special Guest Carrie Hanson
About Carrie Hanson
Gotcha Covered Quilting
Carrie Hanson is the face of Gotcha Covered Quilting and began her career as a crafter at a very young age. Carrie was raised in an environment of crafting, crocheting, knitting, needlepoint and cross stitching. It was only natural for her to pick up quilting where her first quilt was a tulip applique. This quickly drove her into a true passion and obsession with quilting and now Carrie has over 20 years of being a master quilter under her belt. Like all quilters, Carrie finds true bliss in being able to express her full creativity in using vibrant colors and high quality fabric to her quilts. Quilting is a combination of pure passion, creativity and freedom.
Carrie is also a proud mother of 3 kids and a owner of 2 dogs, a golden retriever and a miniature schnauzer. Besides quilting and crafting, she enjoys to spending time on the beach, reading and likes to participate in triatholons.
Special Guest David Hooke
About David Hooke
AKA Mr. Qboto
David Hooke, aka "Mr. QBOTO," began his quilting career in 2001 in southern California, and continues involvement in the quilting industry today from his home outside Chicago Illinois with his family.
Working full-time as an Aerospace Engineer, David spent his evenings and weekends helping to solve problems his wife was having in her quilting studio. The result was the invention of the Quilter's Cruise Control stitch length regulator for mid-arm sewing machines. After attending numerous quilt shows - with the whole family...wife, 2 young sons, and mother-in-law - and subsequently moving across the country to Chicago, Illinois, he saw the a need for robotic quilting for the home-hobbyist/small business quilter. The result was the first version of QBOT that debuted in 2008. Now, 11 years and 3 versions later, QBOT V3 is the premier quilting robotics system for the home quilter!
