artista 640 Versatile Expertise The artista 640 is a highly developed sewing computer with a comprehensive range of utility and decorative stitch patterns. The artista 630 and 640 are related to the aurora models in terms of their technical capabilities and design. It is the modern design of these innovative sewing and embroidery systems that first attracts the eye. The large color touchscreen and multifunction buttons are reminiscent of their big sister, the artista 730. These models offer unique features with many time-saving components and functions.

The 640 comes with the BSR - Bernina Stitch Regulator, the FHS - Free-hand system, a thread cutter, a USB port and USB memory stick. It has multi-function buttons, an infinitely adjustable presser foot pressure, a CFL sewing light, a separate winder motor, start/stop button and speed control, stitch animation and 90 stock embroidery designs. It has a large, color touch screen which displays all the vital information in each menu: stitch width and length, presser foot pressure, feed dogs and needle position.
