Angela, fashion and entrepreneur, ran a custom apparel and alteration business for over 20 year, designing for women all over the world. Specializing in couture gowns, Chanel style jackets, and designer jeans. After getting the position on It’s Sew Easy, which has become a worldwide success, Angela changed her designing focus to the home sewer. She launched Angela Wolf Patterns, teaches online classes on Craftsy, Patternreview, and Angela Wolf Academy with over 140,000 students. Angela hosts weekly Facebook live shows Behind the Scenes and Sewing News Live, Author of how to start a home-based fashion design business, contributor to Threads and Sew News Magazines. She is a spokesperson for Brother International and blogger for Stitching Social. Winner of the 2008 Passion for Fashion, 2012 American Expo’s teacher of the year, 2016 Industry Contributor of the year, 2018 best educational blogger/vlogger & best facebook group. She spends her time speaking and teaching all over the country. When she’s not sewing, you will find her fishing with her husband Winn on Lake Michigan or in the Florida Keys!

Jerry Granata

Jerry Granata has had a love of art since he was a child and it has taken him in many directions. He served 21 years in the Armed Forces of the United States as a U.S. Navy musician serving in such places as Naples, Italy; Seattle, Washington; Washington D.C; and Chicago, Illinois. His musical journey has given him the opportunity to perform as a pit musician in many theatres on Broadway in New York. He has also performed for several U.S. Presidents and Heads of State at the White House, as well as many celebrities such as Bob Hope, Brook Shields, Tony Bennett, Diana Ross, Styx, and many others.

His interest in the fine arts led him to studies in drawing, design, and oil painting. He has explored and enjoyed all sewing techniques including garment construction, costumes, embellishing, heirloom sewing, hand and machine embroidery, quilt piecing, appliqué, and free-motion quilting. He has also appeared on The Quilt Show with Alex Anderson and Ricky Tims, and Fons & Porters Love of Quilting. Jerry brings a passion for quilting, sewing, and teaching, with a dash of humor, to all levels from beginner to advanced. His diverse background can be found woven in his local, regional, national, and international award winning quilts.

Toni Weresch

My love for embroidery started when the PE100 was introduced. I started with embroidery just for fun and it has expanded to a passion. I have worked at multiline dealerships for over ten years. I sold Brother Machines and I really enjoyed helping the consumer to use their machine to the fullest. Working for Brother has given me to opportunity to meet other people with the same passion across the country.

Event Details

One of Angela’s signatures is embroidery, all the way from refashioning jeans to creating custom fabric and trims. Angela will share many techniques for customizing your next garment or project with embroidery, thread painting, quilting, needle felting, and more. She will discuss stabilizers, thread options, needle choices, design ideas and placement. Learn techniques for embellishing satin, chiffon, knits, faux leather, vinyl, stretch denim, silk dupioni, cotton sateen, and tulle. She will also include a lesson on creating your own lace fabric, one that she frequently uses for sleeves “her removable tattoo’s ”. Whether you want to Embellish fabrics for crafting, home decoration, garments, or re-fashion something in your closet, you will leave full of inspiration for your next project!
