My love of sewing, crafting & designing began at an early age. After seeing an embroidery machine for the first time almost 18 years ago, I knew I had to have one. Shortly after purchasing a machine, I began to create my own designs. ‘In the hoop’ designs are what I focused on and are what I love to digitize. I offer my fun, unique designs & projects on my website, Embroidery Garden. I’ve been selling my designs online for the past 15 years and have recently begun teaching classes across the country. I enjoy meeting fellow embroiderers and constantly learning new things about this wonderful industry.

It was obvious at an early age, Barb would sew and teach. She won her 1st sewing award at age 12 while directing theatrical shows in the neighborhood. In College she landed a job, working in the costume department. The rest is history which includes 40 years of experience and memories in the Theatre and Home Decor areas

During her career in education, Barb was the chairman of a Fine Arts Department. She found herself drawn to the set design and costuming areas. After leaving education she started her own business in Interior Design. Barb started sewing and embroidering for her Grandchildren and fell in love with all the Brother Brand sewing machines. Now Barb is a National renowned Educator for Brother Sewing Machines. Barb says she is blessed, to have the opportunity to combine my love of teaching and sewing as an Educator for Brother.

Event Details

Join embroidery expert and designer, Reen Wilcoxson and Sewing Machines Plus for 2 days of hands-on, sit-and-sew instruction. Six Embroidery Garden projects designed and hand-picked by Reen will be presented step-by-step for you to create yourself and take home!

Reen will be sharing the latest techniques and releases in embroidery while you work on her exclusive projects. Enjoy a day of sewing, crafting and embroidery in this 2-day class, designed for all skill levels and we will provide machines for you to use.

Event Details:

• We will provide machines to use during the event for all projects being made.
• Try out any other machines in our retail shopping store show room.
• Face to face instructions with a professional educator.
• Receive help from our professional and helpful staff members.
• Explore our retail shopping store and purchase any machine or crafts accessories in store.
• Snacks and food will be provided. If you have any dietary restrictions or allergies and need to bring your own meals, you are free to use our fridge, microwave and toaster oven during the event.
• A true educational experience that will provide you knowledge you can use at home alone.
