HIGHLEAD extended industrial long arm lockstitch flatbed machine
This standard 25' long arm machine gives a wider working space for harder to handle items. The bobbin winder on he top middle of the head makes for easy operation. A large vertical axis hook provides excellent stitch quality while allowing smooth and quiet operation with a long service life. A longer version of model GC20618-1, it offers many of the same features in a longer machine and now comes in a 40 version, model GC20698-1L (an industry first) as a special order. It is used to sew car covers, car seats, safety belts, tents, parachutes, hot air baloons, sails and other large work pieces.
Model GC20698-1-D is also available in a 25 long undertrimming machine for added functions and higher productivity.
These extra heavy duty long arm compound feed machines are available in single or double needle subclasses with or without puller feed. They incorporate reverse feeding and an extra large vertical hook (or hooks) with a long stitch length (up to 2 1/2 stitches to the inch). A safety clutch to prevent hook damage is standard. An optional needle positioning motor is available and can be used to incorporate air foot lifting and air back tacking for added efficiency. They are used in the sewing of tents, awnings, safety slings, truck covers, safety belts and similar articles.
