Singer Futura CE250 Sewing - Embroidery Machine with ALL necessary Singer Software!
The SINGER® Futura™ CE-250 is a fully electronic sewing machine and computer linked embroidery unit. Embroidery is a snap with the Futura. If you can click a mouse you can embroider! Standard embroidery design software is included.
AutoPunch software allows you to digitize your own images. You can download designs from the Internet or CD collections. Electronic stitch control means each stitch is electronically formed and optimally set. Each stitch is sewn with exact precision. 100 Stitch options including 6 types of 1-step buttonholes have their optimal stitch settings preset.
Settings can be adjusted as needed. Eleven of the most common stitches have a 1-touch selector button. Also included is an automatic needle threader, drop feed and top drop-in bobbin with a view plate. You'll also find a needle up/down control, twin needle control and so much more.
For embroidery you have everything needed to get started. The CE-250 comes with 5 Windows® programs to install on your home computer. You can use embroidery designs from a wide range of sources for your next project. Use the software on your computer to layout end edit your designs. When the designs are ready, transfer them to your Futura with the included USB cable. You are ready to embroider!

"Before this, I would do some hoop embroidery manually on my old Singer Touch & Sew 750. Now I can do anything with cloth and thread on my CE-250. Very short learning curve, learning the adjustments for transferring pictures, but now with the simple Windows 7 interface, patches for my buddies are a cinch, did a portrait of my mom's face using the Auto Punch & Photo Stitch software and it looks wonderful hanging on the wall. Singer has done a great job creating this machine, as with all their machines. I don't know how they could make it any better. I'd say it only took about 10 hours to master, and now I can't keep up to the requests for embroidered items."

This is an AWESOME machine and the software is great! As a regular sewing machine it more than exceeds my expectations but add the embroidery capabilities and all the wonderful software that comes with this package and the possibilities are endless as to what you can create with this machine!!!!! I have owned a competitor's embroidery machine for 11 years, I upgraded because I wanted the larger sewing field. After a lot of research I chose this machine - mostly because of the price compared to others. At first I was a little hesitant about it having to be hooked to my computer to embroider. But after the first project I was hooked. I can now see everything on the computer screen! I was up and doing embroidery on this machine in about an hour. I admit that my experience with another machine probably helps but I can't see that anyone should have a real difficult time getting the hang of it.

I've had my machine a couple of years, and still love it. I have two friends that bought other brand machines, one was $7,000 and the other was $10,000. They can't do the things on thiers that I can do on mine. I use the auto-punch more than I do the designs. I scan pictures and edit them down to 10 to 15 colors, print them and then scan them into the embroidery machine. Everyone is always telling me how talented I am, all though it is actually the machine that does all the work. I have made work Polo shirts by using the business card to get the picture and then used Auto-Punch to turn it into embroidery, and then used the Lettering on the machine to add the company name. He originally ask for 5 shirts, but after seeing them, he ordered more.

Once I figured out what I was doing wrong (the instructions are not very clear), I love this machine! It is the smoothest sewing machine I've ever had, and I absolutely love the ability to download ANY image and turn it into embroidery. The only con is that the instructions are not very clear on some things.

I had my machine for about 3 months, because of illness, i did not look at it. Well I use it now. It is my way of relaxing. It better than a good book for passing time fast. I would recommend this machine.

I had read reviews on other sites about how the machine was difficult to thread. Knowing that I read the Quick Start Guide that came with it and quickly picked up on the little nuance of having to "floss" the thread at the beginning to make it click. I just got this machine and finished two pillow cases with it last night. Super easy machine - can't wait to use the embroidery!

The Singer software is easy to use, even for me. My favorite is the cross stitch software. I do recommend reading the manual that comes with the machine, because I didn't and had a few user error issues. I called Sewing Machines Plus and a woman there helped me figure out what I was doing wrong. I really like this machine and do recommend it to others.

I got this machine a little over a month ago, with the holiday season, I didn't have much time to sit down and learn it, but I wish I did. This machine is so easy to use. I was a little worried about being a new to embroidery person, but this machine is so user friendly. I would highly recommend this machine to anyone new to embroidering.
