I bought this machine when it first came out. (1998?) It has been a work horse! I have used it continuously for piecing quilts and making clothes. It has perfect stitches every time and is easy to learn on. It has never needed servicing and I have just cleaned it myself. It is still going strong. It is small and lightweight but does basic sewing at a great price. It is as good as it gets in this price range. I have nothing negative to say about it. I would highly recommend it for an inexpensive, basic machine!

After becoming acquainted with the Jem Gold 660 in Africa, I bought one last year for my personal use. This year I bought 2 more for my children and grandchildren. This is a great little machine that sews sweetly and is light-weight. It works so smoothly that I hardly ever get out my old machine. I haven't found anything that I want to do that it can't handle. with me everyd time I went.
It was a wonderful machine I learned free
motion on it and made 9 quilts pretty good for a beginner.
I really miss it and I'm busy looking for a new lite-weight sewing Machine

I have had mine for severa years. It is my go to machne for classes because of its light weight. It also has a great stitch. The Gold can do just about everything you want it to. I have had no troubes with mine. Treat your machines right and they will last a very long time.
