The Janome 1600P-DB high speed sewing machine has the DB needle. It sews a straight stitch at 1,600 stitches per minute, the fastest on the market. From the new "Liquid Response" foot control to the pre-tension system, everything on this machine is built for high quality stitches at professional speeds. Although it gives you the performance of an industrial machine, it also gives you the quiet operation and sleek design of a Janome.

An extra large 9-inch x 5-inch work area has room for the largest projects. A knee lift raises the presser foot while keeping your hands on your work. An independent motor winds bobbins while you're sewing. And 10.5 lbs. of presser foot pressure ensures that the layers of fabric won't shift, making it the ideal quilting machine.

	I use this one on a quilt frame and bought a stitch regulator to use and it is a dream. Did two quilts for my daughter's first baby and it was sure nicer than doing by moving the fabric. Quilt has been washed and abused but still good.

	I have had my Janome 1600P DB for 2 years now and use it on a Handi Quilter frame. When it works, it works great! But, when it decides to have troubles, it is really frustrating. I have had problems with the thread breaking and it only seems to like a few types of thread-King Tut, Signature and YLI are the only ones my machine will use. It sews really fast and is easy to oil. For the price, it is a good deal. Just be sure to read your instruction manual and watch how you put in the needles, they can be tricky.
