Decorative stitches.
Delicate heirloom work.
98 decorative and utility stitches.
Creative quilting and clothing construction.
Say Goodbye To Bulky Attachments.
The Memory Craft 9500 never requires separate embroidery attachments. Other machines can take up to a half dozen steps to convert to embroidery. The 9500 has just two steps.
Touch the embroidery mode key.
Attach the correct presser foot.
That's it!
The patented telescopic carriage arm allows the hoop to move forward, backward and side-to-side with great flexibility.
Creating unique embroidery designs is simple. Just touch, drag and drop. If you can point, you can use even the most advanced on-screen editing functions. Import designs from many sources: PC cards, ATA PC cards, or choose from the 90 built in designs.
You can edit, combine and add letter right on the screen. The large, bright touch screen has easy menus and instructions just like the top-of-the-line Memory Craft. You can even select the brand of embroidery thread used. The Janome 9500 can specify color numbers for Janome, Robison-Anton, Madeira or Mettler threads.
Decorative Stitching.
Switch to sewing mode and you're ready to choose from a huge selection of decorative stitches for embellishment. Elongate and combine stitches or set up a stitch for flawless twin needle work. You can even save your favorite stitch combinations in the built in memory banks.
Scan your photos or images into the computer. You can also load them from a CD or the Internet. Use the Wilcom Truesizer digitizer to turn it into an embroidery design!

I ordered the Janome 9500 this spring and have enjoyed every minute I have used the machine. I am still getting used to all the things the machine can do, but I have used it for regular sewing and embrodiery so far and love, love, love it. Sews like a dream, but need to purchase some additional sewing feet and the ATA card to really get going!!!
LIKE IT MORE EVERYTIME I USE IT

I WAS REALLY DISAPPOINTED AT FIRST, BUT I THINK ALOT OF THAT WAS THAT I WAS NOT REALLY KNOWLEDGEFUL ABOUT THE MACHINE. IN OTHER WORDS THE MACHINE WAS SMARTER THAN ME. IF IT WON'T DO WHAT I WANT IT TO DO, ITS BECAUSE I DID SOMETHING WRONG.
JUST TAKE THE TIME TO READ THE BOOK AND WATCH THE VIDEO(SEVERAL TIMES IF YOU HAVE TO)
THE MORE THAT I TRY DIFFERENT THINGS THE MORE THAT I LOVE IT.

My Janome has performed up to expectations on all accounts. It has a perfect sewing stitch, produces very nice embroidery.
It is easy to use, it's best feature IMO is the fact that it doesn't have a embroidery unit.
I have had this machine a bit over three years and in all that time, not one single problem.
Amazing

After many years of just basic sewing, I can now tackle any fancy sewing, or just mend blue jeans. My neighbor also bought an embroidery machine (another company's product), but she can not sew regular stitches on hers - that is a real plus for me, as it is the majority of my sewing projects. It never breaks the thread, and if for some reason there is a "jam" (my error, not the machine's) the solution is displayed on the computerized screen. The setting choice of sewing speed is wonderful - allows me to mend denims through very heavy seams, and just keeps plugging along at the speed I set. I wonder why I didn't get one years ago when my husband started telling me to "just go buy yourself a new sewing machine". And I am glad I did. And Christmas sewing is great - the 8 grandkids love their names on their quilts, shirts, name tags, whatever.
