i am a quilter and only use brother sewing machine. I agree you need to take classes to learn all steps. This machine will last forever I also have an older Brother and it still works great as well. over all great machine.

Im really enjoying my Brother9000 and I agree you do need a class to learn all the features. I am a quilter and find this machine perfect for piecing . My machine was on sale for $100.00 so its been a great deal. It came with a walking foot and others as well. Think i just may buy another Brother when time comes to upgrade,for now its perfect for me.

For the money the machine works great, but you need a class to learn to use all the features, but does a great job for badges on brownies uniforms and hems and just general sewing. The machine will last until I die and I might just start learning to quilt
