"When we were planning our animals collection, we wanted them to be as realistic as possible. The first collection we released was Big Cats and that was a great success. While you were embroidering the Big Cats collection, we were already working on its companion title, African Animals. This collection has a gorilla, orangutan, a giraffe, and seven other animals. The African Animals are digitized similar to the Big Cats in that each face is done as a 5” x 7” full stitched version, a 5” x 7” light stitched version, a 6” x 10” version, and a 6” x 10” light stitched version. The light stitched versions work great if you are embroidering the designs on lighter fabrics or are creating tonal versions of your designs.

This month’s project is the same as the project in Big Cats. The tote bag is such a great way to showcase these beautiful designs. The difference is that we used the giraffe instead of the cheetah for this tote.

These designs obviously look great with glass Swarovski crystals. With each design in this tutorial, we included a crystal placement guide. You don’t need to follow our guide – feel free to experiment! We also included four different borders and corners that contain beautiful leaves and design elements. These borders will compliment your animals on whatever you choose to embroider them on."
